This Week In Music: 09/04/14

I changed my blog around a bit but let's ignore that as I'm not entirely pleased with it..

  • Rixton - Me And My Broken Heart EP
I heard about this one from various YouTubers that I watch (here, here, and here) and now I'm climbing aboard their fandom. Ever since the first time hearing Appreciated I've been dying to write this blog post so I could gush about how cute it would be to sing/play that for your mom/dad for mother's/father's day.
  • Sam Smith - Stay With Me
A friend of mine introduced me to this fella, though I was already aware of his presence in music. The group vocals used in the chorus are similar to What I Know by Parachute, kinda, and his voice is incredible. I've also been liking Money On My Mind and the Nirvana EP.
  • No Sinner - Three Sheets To The Wind
Same friend, except this time she purposefully got me into this one. The other one was background music that I went home and looked up. Back to this: it's a bit off jazzy rock female vocals grungey alternative stuff.
  • Hunter Hayes - Storyline
The third song released from his upcoming album, and the title track. About straying from the typical love.
  • Ed Sheeran - Sing
I love this. I love this so much. It's a bit different to anything on + and it premiered this week and I have been dancing around my house blasting it every morning since.
  • Future Islands - Seasons (Waiting On You)
iTunes single of the week. The very beginning reminds me of You'll Never Know by The Maine. Such a topical song, as the seasons have just changed.
  • The Standard - The Cardigan EP
Some cutesy chilled out music for your early spring days. Believe Again has a cool beat that makes me bop my head.
  • You Me At Six - Magic (Coldplay cover)
Another wonderful creation brought to you by the Radio 1 Live Lounge.
