This one makes up for the last 2 weeks, I think
- Before You Exit - Dangerous
Their new single, it sounds a lot like Classic by MKTO and although upon first listen I wasn't too keen, it got into my head.
- Hunter Hayes - Wild Card
This is the instant gratification single that you get for preordering his album, Storyline. I love it.
- Cody Simpson - Surfboard
This was up for preorder a bit ago for 69 cents so I figured why not? It has all the expected beach themes and a little less innuendo than the Beyonce song with the same name.
- Air Traffic Controller - NORDO
I'd call this a happy medium between Foster The People and Dresses. Hurry Hurry has gotten me hyped the past few mornings (and they favourited one of my tweets about the song).
- Foster The People - Supermodel
Speaking of Foster The People! This album is cool. I like Best Friend and Nevermind most as of right now.
- The Hotelier - Home, Like Noplace Is There
Yes, some angst to fit the weather we're having today. I'd lump them with Modern Baseball, The Front Bottoms, Citizen, etc., I imagine their music would suit the Pacific Northwest perfectly, not that I've ever been there.
Must hear: An Introduction To The Album, Your Deep Rest, Among The Wildflowers
- Knuckle Puck - The Weight That You Buried
Some more gritty stuff for ya, if you'd like. This is a little less sixteen candles Citizen and a little more touch me Real Friends.
- MO - Glass
I don't know how to get that cool line through the O but this is the iTunes single of the week. Sounds a bit like Lana Del Rey if she did a bit more electronic stuff.
- Lily Allen - Our Time
Lacking her previous sarcastic charm, I'm interested to see how the rest of the album sounds.
In other news:
- Nina Nesbitt did a rad cover of Say Something
- She Looks So Perfect EP out in Australia, and Aussie tour announced
- I got accepted into a radio broadcasting program (relevant to this blog, yeah?)
- Seahaven's Winter Forever album is fitting for the weather we're having
- I posted a springish playlist on 8tracks
