It's here, let us all take a moment and reminisce on all the good times we had this year and all the good tunes we had the pleasure of listening to. This list isn't really in order of favourites but there are tiers, the first is my 5 absolute favourites, and then I had 5 honourable mentions which is quite a lot so technically it's a top 5 but really, top 10. Does that even make sense?
1. The Maine - Forever Halloween
I've talked about this band and this album so much since starting this blog, but I think because I own a physical copy of this CD it just got played that much more, in the car on the road trip, driving around town etc. It reminds me of all the cool things I did this summer while it was playing in the background and generally sums up this year for me.
2. Demi Lovato - DEMI
I love everything Demi does but this album felt so personal, so real and I absolutely adore it. There's a song for every mood on here, and you can't say Demi's vocals don't slay. Amazing.
3. Fall Out Boy - Save Rock And Roll
The comeback of the year. I've never been a huge fan of this band, not enough to buy their album but I did and I enjoy every single song, I think all the albums I'm going to mention are albums I can play all the way through. My entire family loves this one (and Forever Halloween too, if we're going there).
4. Lucy Spraggan - Join The Club
This is her first full album but she's had singles before that I liked so much, and this album is beautiful. She has such a unique sound, I think and it fills a gap in my music library. Would love to see her live if I ever get the chance, she's brilliant.
5. The Summer Set - Legendary
I've talked about this band tons, I know but this album is SO GOOD. Brian's voice combined with the upbeat tunes and the many pop culture references, I could listen to this album once a day and not get bored. Probably my favourite release of their 3.

6. One Direction - Midnight Memories
I haven't had as much time with this record as the rest but it for sure had to be on the list. I listen to it all the time and each time it's like the first time. I notice something different like a harmony or a lyric or a guitar riff. It's my favourite album by them, if I can say that. The songs are anthemic, perfect for the stadium tour next year. I can't get over it.
7. Bastille - Bad Blood
This band is so cool and their sound is so cool and everything is so cool. I loved seeing them live this year and listened to their album pretty frequently since downloading it way back when.
8. Panic! At The Disco - Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die
What can I say, this album is awesome. If you'd asked me last year if P!ATD would put out one of my favourite albums, I'd not have believed you because I'd never got into this band until now but I'm glad I did.
9. Paramore - Paramore
Again, a band I hadn't really fallen for until their latest album. But it's a fantastic record and there's such a mix of song types and yeah. I love it.
10. The 1975 - The 1975
I go in phases of listening to this album on repeat and then forgetting it exists. A very good first album, if I do say so myself. Everyone seems to be obsessed with this one, for good reason.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was so hard to stop there because every time I look through my iTunes I find another 2013 release that I listened to a ton and I feel bad leaving bands out but I have to draw the line somewhere. I'll just sneakily mention A Rocket To The Moon, Little Mix, James Arthur, Imagine Dragons, Hedley, Man Overboard, Twenty One Pilots, John Mayer, and Rizzle Kicks right now. OK I'm done.
