- James Arthur - James Arthur
Brilliant! I love this guy on X Factor and he does such cool things with his music, plus he collaborated with Emeli Sande, whom I love. Very new-jazz, if that's a real genre.
Must hear: Roses, You're Nobody Til Somebody Loves You, Recovery, Suicide - Ed Sheeran - New York
He debuted another song during one of his shows at MSG and I am flying high. This one is really nice, no surprise. Listen to it. - NONONO - Pumpin Blood
I meant to include this in last week's post but yeah, it's a tune. I like to listen to it while I walk to the bus stop because it gets me really jazzed. - Dan + Shay - 19 You + Me
For some reason I thought this was a guy/girl group but it is actually two guys. Anyways, this song reminds me of summer and my travels down south and it's cute. - Hellogoodbye - Everything Is Debatable
This album is so cool. It sounds like Hellogoodbye and I love it for background music while doing homework or writing. - Little Mix - Move
This girl band gives me such confidence and I tend to listen to them while walking the halls at school or just on an off day. This song makes me wanna move. And their album is out soon, girl power! - Union J - Union J
Not a huge fan of this album but it has some good points. I am not loving all the production, but if One Direction's debut album is anything to go by, it'll get better. It sounds very boyband-y and if you don't like that then yeah, you won't like this album.
Must hear: Head In The Clouds, Loving You Is Easy, Where Are You Now - Ed Sheeran - I See Fire
Two mentions of Ed Sheeran in one week? This must be a dream. He released this song that will be on the next Hobbit soundtrack and!!!!!! It's uber interesting and would probably be even better if I understood the meaning that relates it to the movie/books. - The Wanted - Word Of Mouth
I thought I'd check this out as I kinda liked their previous albums but this one didn't measure up, in my opinion. I don't know, I'll have to listen to it again. - The Maine - Raining In Paris
The Maine announced the release of their acoustic EP out this December, called Imaginary Numbers and this is the first single. I love their dark take on such a romanticized city and the intro reminds me of a A Rocket To The Moon song, so that makes me feel a little better about their breakup. - Paradise Fears - Team/Royals (Lorde cover)
This band puts out such cool renditions of songs that I already love, and they always put in an original verse. That is something I appreciate. This is a great mashup/cover and Sam Miller has such a soothing voice. They tell it like it is. - Cats On Trees - Jimmy
This song is great! I don't even know what to say about it, but it's free on iTunes this week and that is reason enough to go get it.
- Megan & Liz - Look What You Started OUT FEBRUARY
- Tom/Gia lovechild announcement AKA the cutest thing ever
- Cara Salimando album Nov 12th
- One Direction's new music video is really adorable and heart-warming and the fandom didn't break the VEVO record but we damn well tried
As always, I suggest you listen to these songs yourself, even if my little comments throw you off it.
